All things Natalie

indiewire ranked every Marvel character. Jane Foster landed at No.29!

These Marvel movies haven’t always been a great place for women, but credit to the otherwise hyper-masculine “Thor” franchise, they made Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster more than just a love interest. Obviously you’d have to in order to attract an actress of her caliber, but the whip-smart scientist who doesn’t sit around waiting to be rescued was a breath of fresh air for the blockbuster, even if the second movie didn’t use her as effectively (she’s reportedly not going to be returning for the next film).

I saw AoU this afternoon and I was a little disappointed. It's spectacular, but there are too many characters and situations (and many cuts in editing), and a totally wasted villain. The action scenes are great, but have lost the simplicity and clear exposition of other films to become in a "transformers' style". The only major new character that works is the Vision (great Paul Bettany). As for the non-appearance of Natalie, the only thing I liked is the phrase "Jane is better," Thor said :)

I thought maybe they would incorporate it into Thor 3. But I guess not.

It has nothing to do with the movies (and Natalie), but this fan-art picture by Sinto-Risky is really great and fun.

Loki & Jane, the new kings of Asgard

Jane should dump that zero Thor and be with the hero in Loki.

Shadows is one of my fav films of the year. Have no idea how it translates to Marvel tho. But he clearly knows comedy.

Mark Ruffalo joins Thor: Ragnarok, according to Joblo. Movie will take place on a planet that will be neither Earth nor Asgard. Currently there is no confirmation yet that Natalie is in the film .... only Hemsworth, Hiddleston, Jaimie Alexander and Ruffalo:

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/exclusive-mark-ruffalos-hulk-will-return-in-thor-ragnarok-333

Mark Ruffalo joins Tom Hiddleston (also confirmed by our sources) and Jaimie Alexander in RAGNAROK, which we’ve also heard will involve a “distant planet” that is "not Asgard and not Earth." What does that mean? Certainly the theory will be made that this is where Marvel will work in the long-rumored Planet Hulk storyline, and although we can’t completely verify that, we can’t completely deny it either. I’ll leave it to you on how you want to place your bets, but I know where my money is going. Regardless, Ruffalo is on board. As to how much time he’ll spend as Hulk vs. Banner, we can’t say, only that he’s absolutely part of the supporting cast and will feature prominently.

We have to wait, but does not look good for human characters in the film :|

Thor has a love triangle in the story involving the other warrior woman. She's also a love interest. It's like a Mary Jane and Gwen Stacey thing in Spiderman. Although I love Natalie Portman, it's very likely that the story will go the other way. Her character still plays a big part so I have no idea what's going to happen.
