Great photographer/filmmaker Niko Tavernise, author of the documentary included in the BD of the film, has uploaded five videos to Vimeo with interviews and images of the shooting. The first three could be seen in the Blu-ray edition, but the last two were only included in a special French edition, and include scenes very rarely seen so far. Worth going to see the great work of Aronofsky and the rest of the cast and crew (with Natalie as one of the major players in the videos):

Revolution Buys Half the Rights to Natalie Portman’s ‘Black Swan’:

http://variety.com/2015/film/news/revolution-buys-half-the-rights-to-natalie-portmans-black-swan-1201455790/

Revolution Studios has bought 50% of the rights to 2010’s “Black Swan” from Cross Creek Pictures for an undisclosed price.

The thriller, starring Oscar winner Natalie Portman, grossed $329 million at the worldwide box office. Worldwide distribution rights continue to be controlled by Fox Searchlight, which co-financed and owns the remaining 50% share.

“The opportunity to acquire a stake in a major film of this caliber doesn’t come along every day,” said Revolution Studios chief operating officer Scott Hemming.

There was a scene there where the movie breaks the fourth wall, right? The whole thing was so subtle I didn't think about it after I finished watching it. I definitely want to watch this again. No doubt a risky and masterful shot.

Tomorrow it will be five years of the premiere of the film at the Venice Film Festival. How quickly time passes ...

Watching "Black swan" recently for the umpteenth time in TV, I can only say that still works extremely Well. The emotional "crescendo" in which is reflected the passion and madness of the protagonist, the obsession with perfection, physical sacrifice, envy ... feelings that we all have within us, and therefore we understand ... and forgive .

But what I most enjoyed this last time is the relationship between daughter and mother; two women in solitude, living a dream the other; a 'sweet girl', protected and prey at the same time, in a house with paintings that come alive and walls full of butterflies ...

Image

A life of surrender and release through the search; a one way trip (but necessary), because perfection has its price ...

Image

And a grand finale, where terror, suspense and passion are blended masterfully, and perfection is finally attained. Because when our protagonist kisses Thomas, and see his face, we know that was worth it. We have paid a high price, but no matter because "It was perfect" ...

Barbara Hershey’s performance there was completely overlooked. That performance was a Nurse Ratched as it gets. She and Natalie Portman are the ones carrying the movie all the way through. I can’t think of a way why that performance wasn’t just as flawless.
