New still:

The BAFTA ceremony is tomorrow, but unfortunately Natalie is not on the attendee list. I suppose that, like six years ago, she will not be able to attend because of her advanced pregnancy....

Jackie has just won best costumes at the BAFTA...

Natalie has not attended the gala, as was expected.

The award for best actress will be given later.

Good thing she didn't waste her time coming all this way

I was watching the gala yesterday (dawn here in Spain), and the final misunderstanding with the envelope was really embarrassing. I felt really bad about the La Land and Moonlight teams.

Something like that has never happened before in the history of the Oscars, right?
The actual winner was a movie about Afro-Americans and touched upon trendy LGBT themes.
The current U.S. President is the man of white supremacists who swore to wage war against liberal Hollywood and the media (among others).
Coincidence? Please.
Donnie and his clan members had their laugh thanks to some "KKK-sympathizing" undercover agents. The rest of the world felt nothing but embarassment.

Another option I consider would be that an idiotic producer couldn't come up with a better idea to create controversy in order to draw more attention. But that would be über tasteless and much less likely anyway.

But what is this passionate dislike for La La Land and Emma Stone? If a film is entertaining and the performances are great, then why deny awards from it? (I wouldn't know, haven't sat through any movies of recent times.)
There's only one thing eternal: change.

Snarl, although you thoughs scare me and I do not agree with most of what you said above, I defend your right to talk rubbish  and Thank you for trying to turn this site into a bit of forum, where people share thoughts and ideas. Instead of most of the meaningless NP rubbish that gets posted by the admin and others.

BTW Although La La Land is brillent, in my opinion Moonlight is a superior movie

A couple of videos about the vfx of the film, which demonstrate what digital technology can do today to help a low budget production like this:
