That's fucking sexist don't you think? She's only a woman. What kind of bullshit is that? Besides, at least none of us including Natalie are sucking Il Duce's cock like Netanyahu.

Obviously, the headline is ironic. In the body of the article the author develops as most of the press and articles have obviated the statements of Natalie, belittling them as if she did not know what she was talking about or was not clear about her convictions, which is quite regrettable....

The truth is that it is one of the few positive articles that I have found in the Israeli press. I think all this is a real madness without any sense of reflection :|

How The National's Aaron Dessner Helped Bring Eminem And Natalie Portman To Boston Calling

https://www.forbes.com/sites/stevebalti ... ef0af966d4

Talk about the Natalie Portman film component.

Dessner: Natalie Portman, who went to Harvard and is obviously such an accomplished actress, has an interest in filmmaking and started directing and is deeply involved in a number of important movements right now in the film community and Hollywood, so we’re sort of working with her to develop a film program for Boston Calling. So these are all things that are sort of non-music elements. In a way my favorite festivals are broad in that sense. Maybe you want to laugh or see a film or see a more intimate performance somewhere, so the space at Harvard gives us a lot of flexibility in that sense since there are indoor spaces as well.

I'm glad to see that Ermanno Olmi (sadly recently deceased), is one of Natalie's favorite directors. I think that she mentioned in an interview that he was one of her inspirations when she made her directorial debut with "A Tale of Love and Darkness"...

A couple of his films are about to played on TCM in the coming weeks (in the U.S.) as I also purchased The Tree of the Wooden Clogs during the Xmas holidays as I'm planning to watch it for my Cannes Film Festival marathon which is already happening right now.

Gender inequality: Stars tell world leaders poverty is sexist:

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-44189426

Oprah Winfrey and Meryl Streep are among the big names putting political leaders "on notice" in an open letter led by international charity ONE.

The 140 signatories demand a commitment to help every girl get an education and for leaders to use their power to deliver "historic changes for women".

Black Panther stars Letitia Wright and Chadwick Boseman have also signed.

Actors from the UK - including Michael Sheen, Thandie Newton and Natalie Dormer and the US - including Lena Dunham, Natalie Portman and Issa Rae - took part in the charity's global call to action.

Harvard’s finest returns:

http://www.bostonherald.com/entertainme ... st_returns

Natalie Portman has returned to familiar territory, as she hits up her alma mater, Harvard. The acting alum is expected at Cambridge’s Brattle Theatre today, with encore appearances at the school’s Allston stadium this weekend for Boston Calling.

The Israeli-born Oscar winner — whose work in “Black Swan,” “V for Vendetta,” “Jackie” and the “Star Wars” franchise has hit on pretty much every movie genre out there — will be stopping by the Harvard Square theater at 7:30 p.m. to introduce “I Am Not a Witch,” the final flick within the film festival she curated for the local event.
