love the new album it had more variety and a pop sound, a good break because most of the time Beirut sound like a Santacruzan marching band to me

That second half of that double EP (Holland) was a couple poppy electronic tracks that are really great. Still probably prefer songs like Elephant Gun but it shows he does have a few other tricks up his sleeve.

This is the track from Natalie's FINCA album. Looove it.

Well, it looks like that whole Lana Del Rey thing turned out to be a whole lotta bullshit.

Dazza, you better be ready because there's a line of people here waiting to layeth the smacketh down on your roody-poo candyass for making us hear that over-hyped, manufactured, plastic bitch.

First 5 tracks are good and then it plummets with the wretched National Anthem. As others have said, it all happened too fast. Video Games and Blue Jeans were her first songs and are still the best. If she had any kind of control she would have taken time to really get this character down and the songs to match.

I don't think anyone but the most closeted off the musical radar hick would have only heard Video Games because of me. The song blew up the internet, at least the indie side of it. I never said she was amazing, I said that she was very interesting (and still is) and had a couple amazing tracks (I'm hardly the only person to be wowed. Video Games was high on p4ks singles of the year, number 10 on their readers list and artists like Panda Bear went nuts for her) and lots of promise.

Is her story done? Maybe, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's got a way to run yet and she eventually delivers something on a Fiona Apple level.
