I'm looking at buying a region free dvd player, does anyone know of a good quality player that's cheap in cost (Something below $100 US.)? I have a dvd player in mind but I wanted to see if anyone out there knows which brands are good.

Did anyone forget to set their clocks back? (That is if you observe Daylight Savings Time)

I did. I turned up for work an hour early, which wasn't too bad considering the sort of boyfriend had stayed over and planned to come in with me and have breakfast there before his shift started, and in fact turned up two hours early.

Wasn't too bad, I had a fine coffee and made him do the grind check so I didn't have to.

Being in a country in which the time is never moved forward or back, I find daylight savings really bizarre.

See the mayhem it causes when one state in australia doesnt follow the rest
so towns that straddle the borders can be 1 hour out of kilter

You couldnt write a sillier scenario

Queensland maintains Eastern Standard Time all year round. This causes much debate every year in the south-eastern corner of the state, and particularly on the Gold Coast which straddles the border. However, much of Queensland is in the tropics where residents have no desire to change their clocks in order to increase the amount of daylight and hot sunlight in which they live.

I'm past the apathetic stage where it comes to individuals putting out their life story book

From what I heard the majority of the book is about last year's campaign.

I haven't seen Rachel here on the board for a few days, is she taking some time off?

You'd have to ask her that

My crystal ball is currently in for maintenance although reading the posts from certain people in the whiney thread its easy to see why she would and more than likely for more than a few days

I'll try to send her a pm and see if she answers, I just thought she might have said something to someone.

People -- obviously including myself -- are extremely weird with Rachel. I think Dazza and myself are partially to blame with causing a strange aura around her, but I think people get up in her face a lot more than we realize she cares for, and although I'm not really sure why this is, I do think we should probably just back up off her.

(Not that I think she is taking time off because she's offended just based on not posting for 24h, but if you think that she is stepping back because of people violating boundaries, drilling her or PMing her about it probably wouldn't be my game.)

If it aint fun why bother would be my take

Plenty of people seem to do just fine posting the occasional comment via the main page news without even stepping foot inside the forums

I sometimes wonder if people would be wiser not letting on as to their gender, age etc?

Seems to me once you do you make yourself a sitting duck in many ways
