All of the Above .
Some people will offer you their hand and some won't
Last night I knew you, tonight I don't
I need somethin' strong to distract my mind
I'm gonna look at you 'til my eyes go blind

It's funny how everyone says sloth, and probably thinks it's the least problematic. As long as you have a good basic philosophical understanding of life, sloth is the only one of those things that's a huge problem (unless you have rich parents or something). Seriously. I believe Lil Wayne said it best: "I don’t fantasize/I mastermind, then go after mine."

(I meant in general; not specifically to pick on you guys here. I have more thoughts on what it is to be "lazy," which I'll try to revisit later.)

I'm pride, then greed, then lust. I don't know that "envy" is really the best way to articulate my reaction to many things. I often see something I want and go after it, but I think envy probably implies more spite than I feel.

I disagree. If you are able to find someone who does your work for you, then sloth is proof of your superior intelligence.

Like Greash - all of the above. I literally peeled myself off the floor of the gutter. It really was that bad.

A lot of "smart" people feel this way. I was one of them for a long time. But then what? What does that really do? You get a little smug satisfaction? Is that honestly enough for you; are you happy never really accomplishing anything; floating by on a little bit of genetic luck? I acted like I was, but realistically I was really sad and bitter, and pretty much hated everyone who was more successful than me, because I felt like I deserved it more. When in reality pretty much all of them were more productive than I was.

Different gradings of slothfulness

I've been putting off retraining/studying for 8 years to my detriment

You dug yourself out of your rut and went back to school. That's something.
