Your fictitious soul mate...

Of all the movies and TV shows you have seen.. which fictitious character creation do you find the most attractive? Not necessarily which would be the best long term relationship.. but just who you find the most interesting and appealing?

Mine:

call me crazy.. but for me it would be Helena Bonham Carter's character in Fight Club.

I know I am not original, but I truly had a crush on Sam in Garden State... (and that makes sense since her character was meant to be attractive)

What's her story, Allah? How would you describe her?

I would describe her as witty, charming, well-versed in literature, art, philosophy and other interesting topics, very well-spoken, but not smarter than me, and dangerously schizophrenic.

Seriously. It's too crunk.

Edit: I don't want to ruin the book, because the realizations of what's happening are really interesting, but I will say that the Publishers Weekly review on that page imo fails to grasp both the intricacy of the premise and the scope of the genius.

She sounds like you Allah. :)D Minus the schitzo of course. That book sounds really trippy. Sounds like a smarter version of that fake diary from Twin Peaks.. Laura Palmer's diary? Was that her name?

It's funny you mention Twin Peaks...Lynch was heavily influenced by that sort of discipline of fiction, and in fact DFW, who was a champion of this novel, also was considered downright obsessed with Lynch, and wrote a pretty awesome, accessible essay on the man's work. I personally am not huge on him, but I definitely can see how people would really get off on him.

I have a friend who told me about the Laura Palmer diary... he said he couldn't get through it because it was so disturbing and that he burned it. He said it was pure evil. haha And this guy has a high threshold for weirdness. I feel like a moth to a flame right now.

Edward Cullin.

Not really.

I noticed a lot of teen girls who do, though, and I can't help but feel they secretly wish to be watched as they lay sleeping. Teenage girls freak me the fuck out.
