TV Shows/Series

Anything Goes

Possibly an unpopular opinion but I don't like it when GoT does big action episodes. I mean, this and Blackwater were fine enough...I guess, but they're always gonna feel like B level versions of LOTR or Kingdom of Heaven or whatever.

There were a few nice character moments though and man, was surprised at how much it hurt to see ginger pubes go :(

Yeah, I hate the wall, but didn't mind the all-wall episode that much.

Haha, nice. I'm not sure what to watch now. I just caught up on the comedy Review with Forrest, which is really funny and twisted. But now I've got...

Masters Of Sex
Penny Dreadful
Halt and Catch Fire
Rectify
Borgen
Banshee
Tyrant
House of Cards s2

None are exactly jumping out at me but am curious about them all.

Well I lasted 20 min of Banshee. Screw that. Onto House Of Cards.

Was hoping Del Toro's The Strain would be awesome but holy shit the pilot episode was bad.

I wanted to like Penny Dreadful more than I did, but it felt really slow through the whole season.

I do like the main cast and the score, so it has that going for it?

Anyone still watching True Blood? Has it gotten any better/worse? Is Jessica still alive?

I would say it's getting worse would just be understating how bad it is.

Yes, Jessica is still alive but still hasn't shown her tits. I stopped watching the show last season. It's just crap now and I read this blog to see how bad it has become all the way to the end.

Oh, Alcide dies and Sookie is back w/ Beel who is dying Hep-V blood. LAME!!!!!!!

This final season of True Blood started off terrible, it has gotten a little better - there are some plots I am interested in and some I can do without. I am sticking through to the end regardless, and the show hasn't reached Dexter levels of awful and just-get-it-fucking-over-with-already.

Also, John Oliver's show is fantastic.

John Oliver's show is the only reason I regret cancelling my HBO subscription. :(

Yeah, Oliver is great.

Also, hopefully everyone is watching Nathan for You.

I am liking The Knick, which is a drama centred around a hospital in 1900.

It is a Cinemax show so I would not be surprised if nobody has ever heard of it (It airs on HBO Canada up here).
