TV Shows/Series

Postby Jaina » Sun Jul 01, 2007 2:35 am

I rarely (actually never) watch tv series when they air. More like, I wait until season dvds come out and I buy them. I hate waiting week after week for an hour episode (except for The Tudors, I managed to follow that show without complaints).

Anyways my favourite tv series (or shows, whatever you call them) are:

24 - Best show (action wise)
Lost - I've only watched the first two seasons, but it's really good
Prison Break - I love the whole plot, script & acting. Superb
The Tudors - I'm a sucker for anything period/history. Nevermind the inaccuracies
Alias - <3 Jen although I do tend to get lost... it's gets a bit complicated
Scrubs - I love Zach Braff, don't care what people say about him, he's great
Vivre, on veut tous vivre
Sans se haïr, sans en mourir
Vivre et se parler, se respecter et même s'aimer...
Vivre...

I payed hardly any attention to those shows except for Scrubs. I haven't kept up with the newer episodes of Scrubs, but I've seen older episodes of the show.

PS: I HATE JACK.

 How is that possible?

PS - I haven't seen season 3 yet.

Oh yeah, guilty pleasure = Project Runway. I don't watch it very often, only every now and then... but still.

Any drama that's ever remotely quality has a 70% of me downloading and watching it. In the last year or so, aside from the painfully obvious, like 24, Sopranos, etc., I've enjoyed:

* Deadwood - Watch it, it's the tits.

* Entourage - I don't know why I love this show so much, but I do. It's maybe my favorite show, even though it's a comedy that isn't funny.

* Studio 60 - We've been over this.

* Heroes - Admit it, it's awesome. I watched every episode in like a weekend.

* Dead Like Me - Not-really-funny-and-not-really-dramatic seems to be my new vice or something, since it's how I describe a lot of my favorite shows. I don't know that I'd call it one of my favorites, but it's weird and good. Shows like Six Feet Under dealt with a lot of the same undertones, and did it better, but DLM does it without seeming as preachy.

Some Comedies that Shouldn't Be Missed:

* South Park - Best show on television.

* It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - Funniest show ever make.

Shows I Need to Catch-up On:

* The Shield - Once without-question my favorite show, I somehow slacked off this season.

* Rescue Me - I'm a sucker for smartass, toughguy drunks, but I'm behind a good bit.

I'm sure I missed some good ones, odd, interesting ones, but that's at least half the core of my favorites that I've watched in the last year, year and half.

I love lost and Ugly Betty..but i find Lost soooooooo frustrating
Some people will offer you their hand and some won't
Last night I knew you, tonight I don't
I need somethin' strong to distract my mind
I'm gonna look at you 'til my eyes go blind

I love Lost, Sopranos (RIP), ER, and Monk, though I haven't kept up with that one in forever.

Yeah, I'm guessing omgzrachel never saw Party of 5, cuz then she'd have to like Jack instantly for being Charlie Salinger!

But the reason I quoted Jaina is to admit I like Project Runway too. There's no valid reason why I should watch it, but I do. I'm a sucker for those Bravo network competition reality shows, cuz I love Top Chef too. I said I would draw the line with Top Design, but I ended up watching most of that anyway. Finally, I said ENOUGH IS ENOUGH I ain't watchin no stupid haircutting contest and I refrained from viewing Sheer Design or Sheer Magic whatever it was called - that was one of my proudest moments as a human. I have some self control, dammit.

If only "My name is Earl" had been in the 2nd spot there, then it could read like an intro bio:

Hi, I'm 24, my name is Earl, and my unit is known as the Shield! (though I don't know what kind of shielding a unit can accomplish, so this kinda fails)

Pay me no mind, just messin with words for kicks.
