If Leo loses his Oscar to that insipid wanker Eddie Redmayne, this is what will happen:

I honestly believe essays only nominated bcuz of the transgender awareness going on. I absolutely hated his character and he didn't do anything that was outstanding in that role... Don't get me started. I did not like that movie, but I absolutely loved Alicia in it and the art direction.

I think he's a fucking wanker that just screams vanity over the stuff he's been doing lately as if he thinks he deserves another Oscar. Fuck that piece of shit.

Damn the passion in that post. Lol

He defiantly does not deserve it for wearing makeup, a wig, a dress, and tucking a penis. That's for sure.

Yeah but he's a lesser evil compared to Stephen Daldry who I liken him to as the Oscar-bait version of Michael Bay.

In a perfect world Mad Max should win. At the very least for film editing. I honestly can't see how this movie can't win for that. The editing was flawless.

Mustang - Fantastic film. Really sad seeing these beautiful energetic young girls have their life drained away by an oppressive and misogynistic society. Probably even better than Coppola's Virgin Suicides.

8/10

Spotlight - A nice antidote to the exaggerated and manipulative Truth. Straight down the line good story and performances. A scandal that truly deserves as big of a spotlight as is possible.

8/10

Creed - If I had seen it before the hype I probably would have been presently surprised. After the hype...not as much. It's a really good reboot with some strong directing and performances, plus the gorgeous Tessa Thompson, but I wasn't lifted off my seat. Miles better than the year's other boxing film, Southpaw, although it's funny to see more cinematic boxing that seems completely different real world boxing. Put your guard up, son!

7/10

45 Years - A slow burn. Subtle drama with an ending that really stuck with me. I love the little wrinkles that can bring about such massive damage in relationships. Really strong performance from Charlotte Rampling.

8/10

Rocky Balboa should win the Oscar. It's strange to think that years ago the idea that Rocky could win an Oscar might've been a huge joke.

I saw Danish Girl the other day and thought she was good but didn't really grab me as a performance. Vikander reminds me so strongly of someone but I can't place who it is. Really annoying. It's like a word on the tip of my tongue kind of feeling.

I don't know. I wanted to watch the Oscars because of Chris Rock and found the whole thing very hard to watch. It was all visually depressing to me, like watching Oscar night directed by David Lynch, Blue Velvet edition. Why can't they choose livelier colors? Everything about it was secretly telling me to go to sleep. Mad Max won a bunch of stuff so that kept me going a little longer but I was hardly tuned in at all.

Another thing. For all this bullshit talk about equality in Hollywood, why can't they award a Best Actress Oscar after the Best Actor Oscar? Wouldn't it be great if they could just shake things up randomly? Have the Best Actress category before the Best Picture Oscar at least one fucking year? I mean how freaking hard is that?

They could definitely mix up the genders but Best Picture is the main award of the night, would be silly to put in anywhere else.

Yeah, Best Picture is definitely the top category, but this year there was all this female exploitation awareness going on it seems like a missed opportunity by not giving Best Actress the second to last spot there. I don't want to sound like an angry money grabbing Al Sharpton kind of hypocrite, but I've always found it strange that the actress category must always come just before the actors. I don't think I've ever seen it the other way around. It's always kind of rubbed me the wrong way.
